Phoenix Class: Fall 2019
Major: Biomedical Engineering (Cell and Tissue Specialization)
Graduation Year: May 2022

Big Sister: Manon Tesche
Little Sister(s):

ASA Positions: Sunshine Chair (Spring 2020)
Favorite Committee: I enjoyed leading sunshine committee!

Interests & Activities: Watercolor painting, playing the kalimba, pyrography, crochet, and playing Minecraft.

Why I Joined: I wanted to be surrounded by a strong female presence. I had made a lot of guy friends at the beginning of college, but not many girls friends. I heard a lot about greek life from my friends that went to different colleges. Some loved it and others said it wasn't their thing. I wanted to give it a shot and see for myself. I thought it would give me the chance to socialize with more people and make more friends. When deciding on the sorority best for me, I noticed the girls in ASA seemed very academically driven, so I thought it would be a great place to have fun and stay motivated to do school work at the same time. I also felt very comfortable at ASA and connected with a few of the girls while rushing.

Why I Stayed: Everyone in ASA is incredibly nice and welcoming. It feels like a second home. In addition, ASA has offered so many opportunities to learn and grow. For example, there are leadership opportunities like running for committee chairs or executive board positions. The recruitment week events and greek week events are so fun to be a part of. There are also so many girls I can turn to if I need help with schoolwork or to just chill with.
